We are looking for a Beautiful Face, Overall Appearance & Great Personality!! Contestants Come Shine on Stage! The Hotel is Awesome! There is even an antique car museum next door for dads, grandfathers, uncles, and brothers.

***All Contestants doing the Supreme Package will be put in a drawing for $10,000 Savings Bond!! Giving everyone regardless of experience a chance to win. Winner will receive $10,000 SB, Beautiful Crown, Custom Monogrammed Sash, and an awesome gift! Must have 60 Contestants.

1 Ultimate Grand $1,000

Combined scores from Beauty, Highest Scoring On Stage event and Highest Scoring Photo event. Winner will receive $1,000.00. Savings Bond, a Beautiful Crown, Custom Monogrammed Sash, and a Nice Gift.

3 GRANDS $600 (0-3) (4-9) (10-up)

Combined scores from Beauty, Highest Scoring On Stage event and Highest Scoring Photo event. Winners will receive $600. Savings Bond, a Beautiful Crown, Custom Monogrammed Sash, and a Nice Gift.

2 MINI GRANDS $400 (0-6) (7-up)

Combined scores from Beauty, Highest Scoring On Stage event and Highest Scoring Photo event. Winners will receive $400. Savings Bond, a Beautiful Crown, Custom Monogrammed Sash and a Nice Gift.

1 NOVICE SUPREME GRAND $200

Combined scores from Beauty, highest scoring on stage event and highest scoring photo event. Winner will receive $200.Savings Bond, a Beautiful Crown, Custom Monogrammed Sash and a Nice Gift. To qualify for Novice supreme, you could have never won more than $500.00 CASH at any pageant at one time.

1 PRO SUPREME GRAND $200.

Combined scores from Beauty, highest on stage event and highest photo event. Winner will receive $200. Savings Bond, a Beautiful Crown, Custom Monogrammed Sash and a Nice Gift. To qualify for Pro Supreme, you must have won 501. OR MORE CASH or more at any pageant at one time.

1 ULTIMATE BEAUTY GRAND $200.

This is the one contestant that has the highest Beauty Score. Winner will receive $200. Savings Bond, a Beautiful Crown, Custom Monogrammed Sash, and a Nice Gift.

10 DIVISION SUPREMES WINNERS $100.

There will be one winner in each age division. Winners will receive $100. Savings Bond, Beautiful Crown, Custom Monogrammed Sash, and a Nice Gift.

1 TALENT OVERALL $80.

This is the one contestant that has the highest Talent Score. Winner will receive $80. Savings Bond, Beautiful Crown, Custom Monogrammed Sash, and a Nice Gift.

5 TALENT DIVISION WINNERS

These winners will receive Beautiful Crown, Custom Monogrammed Sash, and a Nice Gift.

1 Ms/Mr. Congeniality

Winner will be chosen by directors. Winner will receive a Beautiful Crown, Custom Monogrammed Sash and a nice gift.

JACKPOTS:

We will have jackpots. These aren’t titles and can be double-crowned. Jackpots are: 1 Overall Glitz Photo, 1 Overall Natural Photo, 1 Overall Composite, 1 Overall Portfolio, 1 Overall Swimwear, 1 Overall Outfit of Choice.

You must be entered in Beauty, On Stage Event, and Photo Event to be eligible for any on these titles: Ultimate Grand, Grand, Mini Grand, Novice Supreme Grand or Pro-Supreme Grand.

****SHINING STARS AWARD**** THIS IS A FREE FUN EVENT OPEN TO ALL CONTESTANTS!!

Have the contestant write an Essay of who they admire and look up to the most and why. They can be your Hero for the day!! Please make sure that the person the letter is about comes to crowning if at all possible. Please send in your letter with your registration. The letter can be a special secret until crowning day if you like. Turn this in w/registration form & entry sheet, by April 1

HOTEL INFORMATION:

Call: 260-768-7688 to reserve your room. We have a block of rooms available at the rate of $99.00 per night; this does not include the water park passes. A rate of $109.00 per night with four water park passes into the water park is also available. Tell them that you are coming in for Shining Stars State Pageant to get this rate. Please book your room before April 1, 2009. Rooms will book fast.

AGE DIVISIONS: (As of day of pageant)

Girls: 0-23 months, 2-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16-up, Ms./Mrs. Division

Boys: 0-4, 5-up . Talent Age Division: Girls and Boys Divisions Combined: 2-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-15, 16-up.

There are no deductions for missing teeth, scrapes, bruises, and casts, due to injury. We are looking for a beautiful face, overall appearance and great personality. No Experience required.

Beauty Attire:

Girls: Sunday Best, Gown, or Pageant Dress.

Boys: Sunday Best or Tux

All contestants’ ages 0-23 months must be escorted up on stage by parent or adult.

REMEMBER, THE MORE EVENTS THAT YOU ENTER, THE BETTER CHANCE THAT YOU HAVE OF WINNING AN OVERALL TITLE, AS WE TAKE THE HIGHEST ANY ON STAGE EVENT, THE HIGHEST PHOTO EVENT AND YOUR BEAUTY SCORE TO SEE WHO HAS THE HIGHEST TOTAL POINTS.

EVENTS:

BEAUTY: There will be no line-ups. This is judged on facial beauty, personality, poise/presentation, and eye contact with the judges. Time limit will be 1 ½ minutes on stage. There will be a Division Supreme Winner in each age group. Division Supreme Winners will receive a $100.00 Savings Bond, Beautiful Crown, Custom Monogrammed Sash, and a Nice Gift.

GLITZ PHOTOGENIC: Turn in your photos at registration. Put the name & age of the contestant on the back of the photo. Photos should be no larger that 8 ½ x 11. This is judged on clarity, photogenic appeal. There will be 1 winner per age division. Additional photos are $20.00 each.

NATURAL PHOTOGENIC: Turn in your photos at registration. Put the name & age on your natural photos. Natural photos can have No touchups/re-touching what so ever. This is judged on clarity, photogenic appeal and age appropriate makeup is allowed. Photos can be done professional with No retouching done. There will be 1 winner in per age division. Additional photos are $20.00 each.

PORTFOLIO: Turn in you portfolio at registration. Put the name & age of the contestant on the portfolio. This can be a combination of up to 12 photos. They may be a combination of headshots, full length, black and white, color. Judges are looking for a variety. This is judged on clarity, photogenic appeal and variety. There will be one winner per age division. Additional portfolios are $20.00 each.

COMPOSITE: Turn in your composite at registration. A composite is a collection of your favorite photos put into a collage with child’s name and stats. You can put many photos on your composite. Judges are looking for variety, presentation and photogenic appeal. There will be one winner per age division. Additional composites are $20.00 each.

SWIMWEAR: This is judged on facial beauty, personality, presentation, eye contact with the judges, and the fit of attire. Time limit will be 1 ½ minutes on stage. There will be 1 winner in each age division. The contestant may wear one-piece or two piece, as long as it is age appropriate. Contestant will have upbeat music to model to.

OUTFIT OF CHOICE: This is judged on presentation, personality, overall appearance, fit of outfit, creativity Time limit of 1 ½ minutes on stage. This can be patriotic wear, casual wear, custom casual wear, costumes, sportswear, or western wear. ***You may bring you own music. *** There will 1 winner in each age division.

TALENT: Five division winners. Contestant must have CD/Cassette cued and ready at the time of the event. You may enter more that one talent at an additional fee.

SPOKES MODEL: This will be judged on personality and on stage presence. This is where the contestant can talk about himself or herself. Time limit of 1 ½ minutes. This is done right after Beauty, so if you do spokes model, you just line up by the side of the stage after Beauty. This is done in your Beauty attire. There will be 1 winner in each age division.

Miss/Mr. Congeniality: This is a special award given to the contestant that exhibits sportsmanship, a fun attitude, and shows the ability of making friends. State Directors will select this award. This is not part of any supreme/grand overall title

Sponsor Tickets for the National Pageant will go into a drawing for a nice gift!! The ticket holder does not have to present to win. The National contestant who sold the sponsor ticket will deliver the award to the owner of the ticket, as both of the names will be on the ticket.

**ALL SPONSOR TICKETS, AND MONIES FOR SPONSOR TICKETS SOLD ARE DUE BY April 1, 2009. THIS IS THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE.

All money is non-refundable for sponsor tickets. Sponsor tickets do not have a bearing on who wins in the pageant. This is just a way to help you raise money for your contestant, while possibly earning extra awards

NEEDS TO BE SENT IN NO LATER THAN APRIL 1, 2009

Deposit of $200.00 is due by April 1. This in a non-refundable fee. CASH ONLY at the door.

Tentative Schedule

Friday, May 1: 4:00-11:00 p.m. Registration (Please register early)

Saturday, May 2: Competition all day, Starting with Beauty, Spokes Model, Swimwear, Outfit of Choice, and ending with Talent. Party after competition

Sunday, May 3: 10:00 a.m. Crowning **Crowning Attire: Crowning Wear

**We will also be having a Door Contest. Come Decorate hotel door. The Theme is Patriotic Judging will be Saturday night when everyone is in bed. Please have your door decorated by 10:00 p.m. This is always a very fun event for the entire family!! The Winner will receive a nice gift. Cost is $10.00

Rules

ALL Sponsorship Money, and Deposits are Non-Refundable If you are unable to attend for any reason, you must let us know within two days before the pageant and your fees will be credited toward the next pageant. No exceptions.

** Judges Decisions are final!

** Sportsmanship is a must. Parents and guests who exhibit poor sportsmanship will be banned from the ballroom. If poor sportsmanship is exhibited by a contestant then they will be disqualified. No fees, ballroom entry, hotel room, or contestant fees will be returned.

** A contestant can compete as of their age of the day of the pageant or may move up one age group.

** All contestant information must be accurate. Please bring a proof of age with you at registration. Any misleading or false information may result in disqualification or loss of title. Contestant will then be liable to return any cash awards received.

** The stage will be a “T” formation with 3 x’s in the back and 1x in the front. The contestants will enter one side of the stage and exit the other side of the stage.

** You must be on time for your event. We will not wait. All events will start on time. Contestants who are late will receive a 1/10 point deduction. You will receive a schedule of each event during registration.

** Registration will be Friday May 1, Starting at 4:00 p.m. Please turn in your photos, composites, and portfolios at this time. Make sure they are all labeled with contestants name and age.

** No Photography or Video equipment, including cell phone photos, will be allowed in the ballroom. Professional photos/video will be taken by Dean Williams

** Contestants photos may be used by Shining Stars Pageant Inc. for publicity purposes.

** All bonds will be awarded as cash equivalent the day of crowning.

**With 60 Supreme Package Contestants, we will award a $10,000. Savings Bond to one lucky winner. Savings Bond will be paid in cash equivalent winnings.

** The Ultimate Grand may not compete the following year. The winner may re-compete again in the Shining Stars Pageant system after their year of rein.

** Only family members and friends of contestants may enter the ballroom. For the safety of our contestants door admission badges must be worn by everyone entering the ballroom, including family and friends of the contestant. Door Badges will be available to purchase for everyone entering the ballroom, except the contestant himself/herself, all weekend long.

**Door Admission is $20.00 for everyone except the contestant.

** If paying by pay pal, a 4% surcharge must be added to your payment at diamonship2005@yahoo.com. No checks or pay pal will be accepted after April 1. Only money orders and cash are accepted.

**The deadline for entering the national pageant is April 1. There will be a $50.00 late charge for anyone who enters after April 1. If you enter after the deadline, you need to get a hold of Teri at (517) 927-7182, so that we can prepare all the paperwork for the pageant.

** We will ONLY accept CASH at the pageant.

** Sibling discount: First contestant pays full price for Supreme Package, and the second contestant pays ½ price of Supreme Package Everyone must send in the deposit. This is due by April 1, 2009. Door Badges, Extra photos, comps, ports, or extra talent are full price.

** Crowning will be do in Crowning Attire

** FINAL RULE: Remember everyone is a winner!! Have fun and meet a new friend.

Parent, Guardian, and Guests understand Shining Stars Pageant Inc. and the hotel are not responsible for property loss or personal injury. This includes travel to and from the hotel, and time spent at the hotel.
